Analytics
Analytics helps you understand what is happening on the social accounts you manage. Unlike Research, which studies other accounts, Analytics focuses on your own Instagram and TikTok accounts.
Everything in Analytics is scoped to the Active Brand. When you switch brands, Revlis shows the analytics accounts connected to that brand.

Connecting an account
The Analytics home shows one slot for Instagram and one slot for TikTok. To add an account, click Connect Account on the platform you want to track.
Revlis supports two connection types:
| Connection | What it unlocks |
|---|---|
| Username connection | Public account and post data. Enter the username and Revlis imports recent posts, follower count, views, likes, comments, engagement rate, and other public metrics when they are available. |
| Instagram Login | Private Instagram insights for a Business or Creator account, including the Insights tab, a Full data badge, richer reporting, and private metrics when Instagram provides them. |
TikTok accounts connect by username. Instagram accounts can connect by username or, when available for your account, through Instagram Login.
After you connect an account, Revlis imports recent posts in the background. The account card can show Importing posts... while recent history loads. Instagram Login accounts can also show History while older Instagram results are loading.
Upgrading Instagram data
If an Instagram account is connected by username and Instagram Login is available, the account card shows an Upgrade your Instagram connection prompt.
Click Upgrade, choose Upgrade to Instagram Login, and complete the Instagram authorization flow. This keeps the same account in Analytics and adds access to private Instagram insights.
Account overview
Click a connected account to open its analytics view.
The account page includes these tabs:
| Tab | What it helps you see |
|---|---|
| Overview | Follower count, engagement rate, posting rhythm, top performers, audience growth, content themes, and recent results. |
| Posts | The account's posts in one grid. Sort and filter to find what performed best, what underperformed, or what changed over time. |
| Insights | Private Instagram performance data for Instagram Login accounts, including reach, views, saves, shares, follows, story performance, audience voice, alerts, and audience demographics when Instagram provides them. |
| Reports | Monthly performance reports for the account. |

Post detail
Click a post in the Posts tab to open its analytics breakdown.
Post detail can show public performance stats, platform insights when available, account-average comparisons, audience comments, performance charts, content tags, content segments, and deeper analysis when your plan includes it.
For Instagram Login accounts, post detail can also show private metrics such as reach, saves, follows, average watch time for reels, and story navigation or replies for stories.
Monthly reports
Reports are generated from the Reports tab. Click Generate Report, choose a month, and Revlis creates a report for that account.
A report can include:
- A headline, grade, and key takeaways
- Posts analyzed, engagement rate, and account metrics
- Top and bottom performing posts
- Content patterns and recommendations
- Month-over-month comparison
- Private insight sections and audience demographics when available
If you generate a report for the current month, Revlis marks it as partial. You can regenerate the report later if more data becomes available.

Reconnecting Instagram
Instagram Login connections sometimes need to be refreshed. Revlis shows one of these states when your connection needs attention:
- Needs refresh means the Instagram connection needs attention soon.
- Reconnect means the token has expired or automatic refresh is failing.
- Automatic refresh is failing appears when Revlis cannot refresh the connection in the background.
When one of these states appears, open the account and click Reconnect to authorize Instagram again. Username connections are not affected.
Analytics requires a paid plan.
