Research

Research helps you understand what is working in your niche. Track competitors, creators, inspiration accounts, and useful posts, then save the strongest examples for future scripts and ideas.

Use Research when you want to answer questions like:

  • What topics are getting attention?
  • What hooks are people responding to?
  • Which formats are competitors using well?
  • Which posts should I keep as inspiration?

Research home with tracked account cards showing follower count, views, engagement rate, posting frequency, and platform labels.

Tracked accounts

The Research home shows the accounts you are tracking. Each card gives you a quick read on follower count, views, engagement rate, and posting frequency.

To add an account, enter the username and choose Instagram or TikTok. Revlis gathers posts in the background, so you can keep working while the account loads.

Account profile

Click an account to open its profile. The profile helps you understand how that account performs and what content patterns show up over time:

  • Follower growth, when follower history is available
  • Engagement trends
  • Top-performing posts
  • Content categories
  • Posting days, times, and frequency
  • Audience voice from comments, when comment analysis is available

Research account profile showing performance context, top-performing posts, content sections, and account navigation.

Post grid

The post grid shows collected posts as thumbnails. Use it to scan quickly, sort by performance, and open posts that look worth learning from.

Post detail

Click a post to open its analysis. Revlis can show:

  • Performance data (views, likes, comments, shares, saves, and velocity)
  • A verdict on why the post worked
  • Opening breakdown
  • Content structure
  • Persuasion techniques
  • Script components
  • Full transcript
  • Audience voice from comments

Some sections appear only when Revlis has enough information for that post.

From post detail, you can save the post to Collections, pin eligible posts to your Dashboard, or use Replicate when deep analysis is available. Replication sends the post to Generate as inspiration for a new script.

Discovery

Discovery lets you search TikTok posts by keyword, even if you are not tracking the account yet. Use it to find ideas around a topic, spot useful examples, and save posts you want to come back to.

All Posts

All Posts shows collected research posts in one place. Filter by platform, content type, performance tier, date range, and more when you want to find a specific kind of example.

Collections

Collections is where saved research lives. Save posts for examples and save hooks when you want reusable openings for future scripts.

Collections has two tabs: Saved Posts and Saved Hooks. Saved Posts includes named collections plus an All Saved view. Saved Hooks is organized by named hook collections.

Named collections

Create named collections to group examples by campaign, content series, creative direction, or topic. Collections have a name and an optional description.

Posts can belong to more than one collection, so the same example can support multiple campaigns or ideas. Hooks are saved into hook collections from hook-focused views.

Sorting and filtering

Within Saved Posts collections and the All Saved post view, you can sort and filter:

See collection sorting and filtering options

Sort options:

  • Newest saved: the order you saved them in, most recent first.
  • Newest posted: by original post date, most recent first.
  • Views: highest view count first.
  • Likes: highest like count first.

Filter by platform: All, Instagram, or TikTok.

Saved Hooks has its own hook-focused sorting controls.

Using collections

Saved posts can be added to Generate as Post cards. Saved hooks can be selected for script generation as hook-style cards, including visual or text hooks when applicable. See Generate for how these cards work.
